Automated Continuous Behavioral Monitoring

Automated Continuous Behavioral Monitoring (ACBM) for characterization of mouse models of ALS and other neurodegenerative diseases

Accurate, quantifiable, and reproducible behavioral analysis is essential for phenotyping mouse models and for assessing mechanism and potential treatments for these disorders. In collaboration with the labs of Thomas Serre and Roee Gutman we have developed a deep learning-based assessment of neuromotor behaviors coupled with a powerful statistic model to create a behavioral profile of and between mouse models. We are currently assessing the TDP43 ALS-FTD, the SOD1 G85R ALS, and the 5XFAD models.
